One of a four volume set of dictionaries of Victorian Aboriginal placenames covering Melbourne and Central Victoria, Gippsland and Northeast Victoria, Southwest Victoria and Northwest Victoria. These dictionaries are the product of extensive research by historical geographers Ian D. Clark and Toby Heydon. This involved comprehensive collaboration with academic and community based researchers, historians and linguists.
Language groups: Gadubanud, Gulidjan, Tyakoort Woorroong, Keerraywoorroong, Dhauwurd Wurrung and the Victorian part of Buandig country.
Geographic Region: West coast Victoria, from Lorne through Warrnambool up to the SA border; inland to Cressy, Mortlake, Hamilton and Casterton, then up towards Naracoorte.
